Description
Traditional materials and careful craftsmanship: the Rohema TT 102 is a timpani mallet featuring a hard, hand-sewn felt head. Inside the head is a cork core around which the white felt is carefully sewn by hand.
The shaft is made from Tonkin, a special type of bamboo. The material is straightened and hardened over an open flame before receiving a wax-oil finish. With a length of 385 mm and a shaft diameter of 10 mm, the TT 102 features a slim construction.
The round head has a diameter of 32 mm and a hard specification. The TT 102 therefore combines a traditional bamboo shaft with a hand-sewn felt head and careful construction for timpani playing.
