Ratchets
Turn it. Rattle it. Impossible to ignore.
The ratchet uses a simple mechanism to create a distinctive rattling sound with plenty of character. Varying the movement and speed produces anything from individual accents to rapid, continuous sound patterns – direct, rhythmic and unmistakable.
At music craft instruments, you'll find selected ratchets for percussion, ensembles and musical effects. For bold accents, distinctive sound colours and all those moments when subtle simply isn't part of the score.
