Soft in its attack and carefully crafted by hand: the Rohema TT 108 is a timpani mallet featuring a soft felt head with double-layer cushioning. This construction provides a particularly soft attack. The felt is hand-sewn around a cork core.
Rohema uses Tonkin bamboo for the shaft. This particular type of bamboo naturally grows very straight and is known for its stability and durability. The shafts are additionally straightened and hardened over an open flame. A wax-oil finish refines the surface while preserving the natural character of the material.
With a head diameter of 43 mm, the TT 108 features a comparatively large, soft felt head. The 385 mm long bamboo shaft with a diameter of 10 mm completes the construction, resulting in a carefully crafted timpani mallet designed for a soft attack.
