Description
Scrape, play and discover rhythm: the Rohema Rhythm Stick is a handy scraper instrument that provides an accessible introduction to the playing technique of a guiro. Moving the included scraper across the textured surface produces its characteristic rasping sound.
The Rhythm Stick is made from natural beechwood and, with a diameter of 25 mm, sits comfortably in the hand. It comes with a wooden scraper featuring a thicker grip section, making it easy to hold and guide across the surface with control.
For children in particular, the combination of holding and scraping offers an engaging musical challenge: one hand holds the Rhythm Stick while the other guides the scraper. This allows different movements, rhythms and sounds to be explored through play while developing coordination and a feel for rhythm.
