Holger Krupke Geigenbaumeister

In the Vogtland region, instrument making is more than history.
It’s part of everyday life.

Holger Krupke represents this long-standing tradition of violin making in Markneukirchen. In his master workshop, violins, violas, cellos, and double basses are crafted with patience, precision, and a deep understanding of tone and response.

This work is not just about appearance or technical perfection.
A great string instrument has to feel alive. It has to respond naturally and support the musician from the very first note.

After training and working with master violin maker Lothar Sandner, Holger Krupke opened his own workshop in 1998. One of his instruments received a diploma at the respected “Jacobus Stainer” violin-making competition.

Alongside new instrument making, his workshop also specializes in professional repairs and careful restorations — always focused on preserving or rediscovering the character and sound of each instrument.

Because violin making is about more than building instruments.
It’s about building tools for music.
