Viola 22182 – Expression without limits

A good viola sounds clean. A great viola develops personality.

The Viola 22182 by Holger Krupke was built exactly for that purpose.

This handcrafted master instrument combines traditional craftsmanship with a tonal character full of warmth, depth and musical presence. From the very first notes, it becomes clear that this instrument creates more than sound — it creates character.

The lower and middle registers develop impressive warmth and projection, while the upper register remains open, clear and controlled. That balance is what makes premium violas so special: expressive power without harshness and dynamics without losing refinement.

This viola doesn’t only react to technique.
It reacts to feeling and personality.

The traditional handcrafted construction creates a direct response and an exceptionally lively connection between player and instrument. Subtle bow dynamics become instantly audible, while stronger passages develop remarkable depth and musical presence.

Especially in chamber music and ensemble settings, the Viola 22182 reveals its greatest strength: a full and projecting tone with its own voice, without overpowering the music around it.

For advanced players.
For ambitious musicians.
For people who don’t just want to play music correctly.
But move people with it.

Warm. Open. Real.

Handcrafted by Holger Krupke.
Traditional German master workshop craftsmanship.
