Description
Two sides, two sounds and plenty of rhythm: the Rohema Woodblock 2-Tone is a compact wooden percussion instrument that produces a brighter or darker tone depending on which side is struck. Its clear, percussive sound makes it a versatile choice for rhythm exercises, group music-making and free improvisation.
The rectangular Woodblock is made from beechwood and finished with lacquer. It is held in one hand and played with the included wooden beater. With two different sound characteristics available in a single instrument, varied rhythms and short tonal patterns can be created with ease.
Its straightforward playing technique makes the Woodblock suitable for first musical experiences as well as more advanced rhythm activities. It can be used in a variety of musical and educational settings and invites both children and adults to explore sound, timing and rhythm.
