Powerful, direct and designed for pronounced accents: the Rohema MT 202 is an extra-hard timpani mallet featuring a wooden core covered with a thin layer of fine merino felt. The felt is produced in Germany and carefully sewn around the core by hand.
The hard wooden core provides a particularly direct response and supports powerful playing in fortissimo passages. The oval head has a diameter of 37 mm and combines the hardness of the wooden core with a thin felt covering.
The 385 mm shaft is made from maple and features a lacquered finish. The wood keeps the mallet pleasantly lightweight and supports comfortable handling. With a shaft diameter of 12 mm, the MT 202 combines a substantial grip with a balanced construction for powerful timpani playing.
