Description
The Migma Recorder Anti-Condensation Treatment is designed to counteract the hoarse sound that can occur when condensation droplets form inside the recorder windway and interfere with the airflow.
The treatment reduces the surface tension of the condensation. This helps prevent disruptive droplets from forming and allows the moisture to flow away as a smooth film instead. In this way, a hoarse or impaired sound caused by condensation in the windway can be reduced.
For application, the anti-condensation liquid is dripped into the windway outlet from below so that it can spread across the block and upper windway surface. The player then blows firmly into the window while sealing the lower end of the head bore airtight. Excess treatment is blown out and can then be wiped away at the windway entrance.
