Description
The Recorder Oil Swab by Gerald Schneider Blockflötenbau is a practical care accessory for suitable wooden recorders. The wool swab can be used to apply care oil inside the instrument and distribute it as evenly as possible.
Regular oiling is part of the maintenance routine for many untreated or suitably finished wooden recorders. Using a separate oil swab helps apply the care oil specifically and keeps it separate from cleaning swabs that are used to absorb moisture after playing.
The wool swab is therefore a useful accessory for players who oil their wooden recorder in accordance with the manufacturer’s care instructions. Which parts of the instrument may be oiled and which type of oil should be used should always follow the recommendations of the respective instrument manufacturer.
