Stefan Kreul is a master luthier by conviction – and you can hear it in every instrument.
Born in 1973, trained by Lothar Sandner, and self-employed since 1997, he belongs to a generation of instrument makers who don’t just copy tradition, but carry it forward. He passed his master craftsman’s examination in 2002 and is now a member of the violin makers’ guild in Markneukirchen – one of the most important centers for string instrument making.
What makes his work stand out:
Shape, arching, and scale length are developed in dialogue with the musician.
Not as a compromise, but as a shared result.
