Violin 22101 – When wood starts to speak

Some instruments simply work.
Others instantly make you feel something.

The Violin 22101 by Norbert Knappe clearly belongs to the second category.

At first glance, it’s obvious this is not anonymous factory production. The hand-applied varnish, elegant arching and carefully selected tonewoods don’t feel sterile or overpolished.

They feel alive.

And that’s exactly how this violin sounds.

Warm in tone. Open in response. Powerful enough for stage and ensemble playing, yet sensitive enough for quiet musical moments that don’t need volume to leave an impact.

This violin doesn’t only react to technique.
It reacts to personality.

The longer you play it, the more the instrument opens up. Notes develop character. Melodies gain tension. And suddenly you realize you’re no longer just practicing — you’re actually making music. That’s exactly why handcrafted violins feel different from industrial instruments. Small details in the wood, varnish and construction give every instrument its own unique voice. Perfect for students, ambitious players and musicians searching for an instrument that will stay with them for years instead of just surviving the first lessons. Classical music, film scores, folk or modern pieces — the 22101 feels at home wherever music is meant to sound honest instead of perfect.

Sounds better when you make it yourself.

Crafted by Norbert Knappe.
For people who don’t just want to consume music.
But truly feel it.
