Rohema Tone Block – Handy Beechwood Tube Drum
Rohema Tone Block made from lacquered beechwood and supplied with a beater. Handy tube drum with a variable sound for rhythm playing and early music education.
Description
One precise strike is all it takes to turn movement into a clear tone: the Rohema Tone Block is a handy tube drum that is held by its handle and played with the included beater. The resulting sound can be varied slightly depending on the intensity and speed of each strike.
The Tone Block is made from beechwood and finished with lacquer. Its hollow tubular body forms the resonating section of the instrument. Measuring 210 mm in length and 44 mm in diameter, it can be held comfortably in one hand while the other guides the beater.
For children in particular, this playing technique offers an engaging way to combine rhythm, movement and coordination. Producing the optimum sound requires the beater to be guided accurately towards the resonating body. Rohema recommends the Tone Block for children aged three years and over.
